Overview
Coherus Oncology is a fully integrated, commercial stage innovative oncology company whose main focus is developing promising immuno-oncology products that improve the lives of patients. As the Oncology Account Manager, you will be a key member of our customer facing team selling LOQTORZI and partnering with HCPs and other influential oncology practice stakeholders committed to a patient-centric approach of cancer care delivery.
The Oncology Account Manager role requires building sustained relationships with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, administrators, billing, finance, office practice managers mid-levels and other pertinent staff. A deep understanding of cancer staging and clinical guidelines, as well as overall product, reimbursement and financial acumen will be required for this role.
Responsibilities- Strong working knowledge of cancer staging, treatment options, PD-1/checkpoint inhibitors and associated dosing schedules
- Develop account profiles and business plans for LOQTORZI from customer insights to drive appropriate use across indications
- Conduct territory business analysis, prospect for new business and opportunities within the territory to engage key HCP stakeholders for LOQTORZI
- Demonstrate clinical and product acumen for positioning LOQTORZI to meet or exceed sales goals
- Build patient-centric relationships in targeted accounts with pertinent clinical staff
- Represent Coherus and products in alignment with Coherus ethics, policies and compliance expectations
- Foster teamwork and communication in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment with patient and company priorities
- Apply understanding of reimbursement, contracting and finance associated with buy-and-bill injectable medications
- Operate independently and with urgency on a daily basis
- Analyze complex matrix accounts to determine proper strategic focus and planning
- Utilize planning, probing, challenging, aligning, closing and follow-up selling skills
- Plan, budget and execute resources provided by the company, including exhibits, speaker programs, HUB, executive visits, and coordination of National Account Director and Key Account Director activities
- Travel:
Daily in-person and up to 50% travel for visits with HCPs, clinics, and hospitals, as well as for National/Regional Meetings, Speaker Programs and Conferences
- Bachelor’s Degree (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of demonstrated sales success in oncology (preferred)
- Experience in hospital, academic and community oncology selling (preferred)
- Buy-and-bill experience with strong reimbursement and fiscal acumen
- Prior launch of oncology injectables (preferred)
- Understanding of community GPOs (ION, OnMark, USO) and hospital GPOs
- Understanding of oncology product distribution
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers
- Knowledge of community oncology practices, hospitals, academic medical centers and IDNs
- Development, execution and follow-up of business plans
- Cross-functional communication with other field-based personnel
- Flexible, problem-solving mindset, and ability to wear multiple hats in a startup environment
The Base Salary Range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000. Coherus considers various factors, including professional background and work experience, when determining base pay. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
