Position Summary The focus of the Sales Representative - Emergency Medicine is to connect with clinicians and economic buyers, managing relationships and serving as the primary contact with emergency medicine physicians, trauma surgeons, interventionalists, nurses, and paramedics in the OR and acute care hospital from initial lead outreach to order fulfilment. The selling portfolio includes Arrow® EZ-IO® Intraosseous Vascular Access System and Quik Clot®, Quick Clot Control+®.

The role requires initiative and self-direction; results are achieved through people. Success depends on the ability to influence and persuade others, manage multiple priorities, and drive projects with a selling mindset. The environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and results-oriented.

This is NOT an On Call Position

Principal Responsibilities
  • Prospect and execute against new business opportunities to exceed revenue targets.
  • Manage multiple priorities by developing and maintaining a detailed, strategic, and actionable territory business plan.
  • Grow market share and utilization among existing accounts while securing new users within the geography.
  • Exceed territory sales quota through focused pursuit of achievable goals despite obstacles.
  • Ensure revenue and profitability goals through effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Lead conversations and foster customer advocacy; build strong, productive customer relationships based on trust and customer satisfaction, and develop Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Build champions and navigate the VAC process to influence clinical preference practices.
  • Take disruptive technology from no share to full share.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; influence cross-functional teams without formal authority and drive contracting success in the territory.
  • Demonstrate superior product, clinical, and market understanding; maintain competency in all assessments.
  • Be fluent in company product indications and applications with strong clinical and technical acumen.
  • Educate customers on the safe and efficacious use of Teleflex emergency medicine products via training, in-services, skills days, or trade shows.
  • Understand competitors’ technology and strategy; navigate competitive conversations with customers.
  • Have a strong foundation in healthcare economics, knowledge of GPOs and IDNs, and understanding of contracting processes.
  • Actively use  and Power BI to develop and maintain account profiles, build pipeline, and forecast accurately; make data-driven decisions to grow territory sales.
