As part of this mission, we are building a local GTM Hub office in Columbus to serve as the center of activity and collaboration.

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands‑on Sales Director to work with an exciting new portfolio company. This is a critical player‑coach role where you will be responsible for both hitting an individual sales quota and building the foundation of our high‑performing sales team. You will work directly with Leadership to define the sales strategy, execute key deals, and establish the processes required to scale from early growth into the mainstream market.

This role is remote-friendly with a preference for SF Bay Area or Columbus, OH.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full sales cycle for strategic, mid‑market accounts and partnership opportunities, consistently achieving an individual sales quota.
  • Act as a sales process model, setting the standard for pipeline management, product demonstration, and closing strategy.
  • Develop and implement the annual sales strategy, GTM plan, and pricing strategy in alignment with company revenue targets.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a growing team of Account Executives (AEs).
  • Define sales processes, structure, and CRM/forecasting standards to ensure efficiency and executive visibility into pipeline and revenue contribution.
  • Communicate cross‑functionally to help the whole team iterate on approach, flex to market changes, and learn from each other to tackle the Mid Market segment.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, with at least 3 years closing experience and 3 years leadership experience.
  • Proven success in meeting and exceeding both personal and team revenue targets. Experience selling into SMB and MM segments at B2B SaaS startups.
  • Mastery of sales methodologies and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot). Strong analytical ability to manage sales data, accurately forecast, and optimize the sales funnel.
  • An entrepreneurial, hands‑on mindset comfortable in a high‑growth startup environment. Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • History of quota over achievement and clear metrics to back this up.

  • You have an entrepreneurial, startup mindset that helps you to default to action and make strong judgment calls.
