Job Summary
The Account Executive (AE) reports to the Sales Manager and is responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies within an assigned territory. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, identifying solutions to client needs, and expanding the reach of our software product.
Success in this position requires effective communication, creativity, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate across departments. The AE must stay current on product developments and customer trends. Regional travel, in-office work, and occasional national travel for trade shows and professional development are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales and marketing plans to achieve personal and company sales goals.
- Identify and target key end-user accounts; create tailored plans to grow business through individual effort and team collaboration.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas.
- Seek new applications and customer segments for our software product.
- Build and maintain trust-based relationships with customers by offering innovative, needs-based solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive sales strategy and effective communication.
- Schedule and conduct regular customer meetings to review product needs and identify new opportunities.
- Keep clients informed of product updates, changes, and new feature rollouts.
- Participate in regional and national trade shows, conferences, and industry events as assigned.
- Maintain and update all customer interactions, leads, and opportunities in the CRM system.
- Ensure that marketing materials and customer displays are current and relevant.
- Align efforts with the broader goals and values of the company to drive customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and long-term success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Prior sales experience required; experience in the food service or software industry preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in computer use and willingness to learn new tools and platforms.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to make timely, informed decisions in dynamic situations.
- Demonstrated desire for professional growth and development.
- Ability to maintain discretion and professionalism in all client and internal communications.
