Job Description
The Retail Associate serves as a key frontline team member, delivering exceptional customer service and supporting daily store operations. This role involves assisting customers with their shopping needs, managing sales transactions, replenishing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor. As the face of the brand, the Retail Associate plays a vital role in driving sales and creating a positive shopping experience that contributes to the overall success of the store.
Responsibilities- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers and understanding their needs.
- Maintain store appearance through regular cleaning, organizing, and straightening of merchandise.
- Stock shelves with products in an organized manner, maintaining proper product placement.
- Replenish sales floor/assigned zone as assigned.
- Adhere to all retail policies and procedures including POS, Operations, Safety and Loss Prevention procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to meet store and customer service goals.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding inventory levels and product availability.
- Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Participate in training and development activities.
- Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
- Previous retail experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Customer Service & Communication:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with customers. - Product Knowledge: A good understanding of the products the store sells.
- Technical
Skills:
Ability to use POS and other retail technologies. - Professionalism: A professional and courteous demeanor.
- Patience:
The ability to remain patient and calm when dealing with difficult customers. - Math
Skills:
Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. - Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
- Organized and have attention to detail.
- Priority-setting and time management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reach above/bend to obtain product for customers from store fixtures/shelves at various heights.
- Work in an environment where internal temperatures may vary based on climate change.
- Bend, squat, twist, stand, lift, climb, and walk for long periods of time.
- Lift up to 40 pounds – assisted lifting is available on request.
- Climb ladders when required.
- Pull and push products that weigh 60 plus pounds utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.

Compensation is determined by various factors such as location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal and external equity and organizational needs. The salary range for this position is $15.3 to $18.3 hourly. The posted range reflects our national average range for the job. We may ultimately pay more or less than the published range based on the factors mentioned above.
This range may be modified in the future.
