Overview
Professional level Retail Parts Pro position supporting the DIY business across automotive systems. Requires advanced knowledge of store systems, automotive parts, sourcing, diagnostics, and customer service. Full‑time, 4‑day a week schedule.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide gas‑2‑selling experience during in‑store and phone customer interactions.
- Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
- Manage DIY services, including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, and other routine service tasks.
- Maintain high customer‑service standards and store appearance.
- Hold key‑holder responsibilities: task assignment, safety, open/close duties.
- Assist with store inventory processes (truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, back‑stock).
- Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, aisles, dusting, parking lot).
- Provide DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
- Friendly communication and customer focus.
- Ability to locate and stock parts.
- Safety knowledge and skills.
- Use of inventory systems and store equipment.
- Parts and automotive system knowledge.
- POS and parts‑lookup system proficiency.
- Expertise in diagnostic equipment for DIY services.
- ASE P2 certified or equivalent.
- Advanced solution, project, and product recommendation ability.
- Advanced parts lookup and sourcing skills.
- Strong selling skills for DIY.
Job Skills
- Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability (engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust).
- Strong communication in English;
Spanish a plus. - Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
- Follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.
- Complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment.
- Basic math accuracy (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Flexibility for days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
3–5 years of automotive parts experience; proven sales ability and experience in customer transaction fulfillment.
Education & Credentials- Valid driver’s license.
- ASE Certification preferred but not required.
14.95 USD PER HOUR – 16.45 USD PER HOUR
