Job Overview

As Counter Manager you blend leadership, creativity and customer engagement to deliver genuine hospitality through personal consultations, expert product application and deep understanding of each customer’s beauty and style preferences. You drive sales, elevate the customer experience, cultivate loyalty, analyze performance, execute vendor events, uphold brand standards and oversee stock and hygiene.

How Counter Managers Spend Their Day …
  • You arrive energized, greet colleagues, inspect the counter and set today’s sales goals.
  • You lead through action – welcoming customers, building relationships and ensuring a polished, test‑stocked, signage‑up‑to‑date counter.
  • You support merchandising and visual presentation, and coach staff on loyalty benefits so customers leave with everything they need.
  • You collaborate with peers, vendors and store leadership to reach sales goals and improve results.
  • You model teamwork, honesty and care and always strive to improve, taking pride in your work.

Full‑time colleagues are typically scheduled for 30+ hours per week; part‑time for 12‑24 hours. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability. Additional information on hours and benefit eligibility can be found at the benefits portal.

Who You Are And What You Will Do
  • Deliver personalized service and product knowledge.
  • Build lasting client relationships and drive client development through outreach and follow‑up.
  • Analyze and review sales performance and implement growth strategies.
  • Plan and execute in‑store and vendor events.
  • Maintain brand standards via merchandising, hygiene and stock.
  • Acquire new customers, open credit accounts and share loyalty benefits.
  • Collaborate with vendors, personal stylists and store leadership for optimum results.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally.
  • Stay current on new launches, best‑sellers and beauty trends for team education.
  • Manage multiple priorities and remain detail‑oriented in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Exhibit flexibility, sound judgment and passion for the beauty industry.
  • Have 3–5 years of relevant retail, beauty or leadership experience (preferred).
  • Flexible availability – days, evenings, weekends and holidays with punctual attendance.
  • Must be able to understand and communicate with customers, co‑workers and supervisors, and read and understand employment policies and safety rules or procedures in English.

Physical Requirements You Will Perform
  • Require talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching.
  • Stand for at least two consecutive hours, lift at least 25 lbs, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, reach high.
  • Require good vision, color vision, depth perception and focus adjustment.
  • Frequent use of computers, handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions.
