OverviewThe Bike Technician is a technically focused role centered around providing a differentiated customer experience specifically to cyclists. The Bike Tech is responsible for building and repairing bicycles according to established procedures, while providing strong product recommendations that align to the customer’s needs.
Responsibilities- Build and repair bicycles in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist with the assembly of exercise equipment as needed.
- Create a world‑class customer experience by providing passionate customer service and engaging with customers in the Bike Department.
- Uphold company standards for merchandise presentation.
- Demonstrate the ability to genuinely interact with customers, showing passion, knowledge, dedication, and commitment to their sport or activity.
- Promote company programs, including warranty sales, Scorecard loyalty program, private‑label credit cards, and other seasonal promotions.
- Achieve sales goals through selling bikes and related merchandise.
- Maintain merchandise presentation standards and signage of the Bike Department to company standards.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures, while maintaining confidentiality of all company information.
- Take an all‑hands‑on‑deck approach to support the team across the store.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

- Prior experience of building, repairing, and selling bicycles preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
Targeted Pay Range: $12.50 – $19.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. DICK’S Sporting Goods complies with all state paid leave requirements. We also offer a generous suite of benefits.
