Line Cook-AM Shift

Overview

JOB OVERVIEW:
Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.

• Follow recipes and production and portion standards to prepare food of consistent quality, per server checks.
• Start food items prepared ahead of time, ensuring not to over-prepare estimated needs.
• Date all food containers and rotate according to Crescent standards; keep perishables at proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line setup; note out-of-stock items or potential shortages; assist in keeping buffet stocked.
• Return all unused food items to designated storage areas, covering and dating all perishables.
• Assist in planning and actions to correct food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per Crescent standards.
• Operate, maintain and clean equipment: deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition; maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Ability to communicate well with guests and be a team player; willing to pitch in and help coworkers with their job duties.
• Finger/hand dexterity to operate food machinery.
• Ability to grasp, lift and carry or move goods weighing up to 100 lbs on a continuous schedule.
