Chef / Manager (Hiring for a start Mid February
This Location Operates Five (5 ) days a week. Monday through Thursday 6:30 am to 6:00 PM and on Friday closes at 1 PM. You will be the Face of the Operation. You are Responsible for all the daily food service operations of your site. Provide overall direction, Leadership and you will have high level Client Contact. You will be tasked with achieving various service levels, operating and financial goals.
Compensation Range -$ 52,500 to 55,500 based on actual experience & qualifications) additionally we offer Major Medical, Holiday, Vacation pays benefits, 401 K with an annual Bonus opportunity
- Interview, hire, train, and oversee employees.
- Provide motivation and training to Employees.
- Identify top talent and develop team members to move up within the organization.
- Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and the overall presentation of food.
- Achieves an A rating at each local Health inspection and ensures food safety standards and regulations.
- Attend Meetings as required.
- Monitor the actions of employee's workers to ensure everyone's personal safety.
- Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality or service.
- Review Weekly budgets and payroll records and purchase transactions.
- Establish standards for personnel performance and Meal service.
FSD/ Chef Manager are generally responsible for all functions of the business related to operation at their assigned site. Considered a hands-on position in service areas – Directing Food prep & meal execution & Meal service plus administrative responsibilities
Important Qualities- Culinary Background – 2 to 3 years of Cafeteria Corporate (B&I) or College and Catering Services. Understanding a P& L operation, Food & Payroll control – With A proven track record.
- Computer Skills – Proficient in use of Email communications etiquette, WORD, EXCEL & POWER POINT Programs &, PDF Files.
- Customer-service skills. Must have good customer service skills when dealing with Guests. Satisfying clients and exceeding their needs is critical for success and ensures customer loyalty.
- Detail oriented. Must deal with many different types of activities at the same time. They deal with staff, making sure there's enough food, taking care of records, making sure the place is in good condition, and more.
- Leadership skills. All Managers must establish good working relationships to ensure a productive work environment. This may involve motivating workers, resolving conflicts, or actively listening to staff to solve problems.
- Directorial skills. Chef / Mgr. Managers may deal with budget matters; they also coordinate and supervise workers. Choosing the best people for a job is important, as is the need to guide and motivate employees.
- Organizational skills. Chef/ Manager keep track of many different schedules, budgets, and people s becomes more complex as the population increases at your site.
- Problem-solving skills. The ability to resolve personnel issues and food-related problems is imperative to the work of Directors. As a result, they must be creative and practical when solving problems.
- Speaking skills. Food service Manager must give clear orders to staff and be able to explain information to employees.
- Stamina. Chef Mgr may spend a lot of time on their feet, often working long hours. They need stamina to handle the physical and other stresses of the job.
A Current MGR Serve Safe or Oregon Food handlers Certification. Prerequisite – Complete Criminal Background Check – But be clear of any Felonies & No Misdemeanors in last 5 years.
