Duties & Responsibilities
*** Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using both machine and manual cleaning methods.
* Ensure all dishes are properly stored in designated areas.
* Maintain cleanliness of dish room, kitchen floors, trash areas, and loading dock.
* Dispose of trash and recycling following hotel guidelines and safety standards.
* Assist with basic food prep or kitchen tasks as directed by chefs or supervisors.
* Follow all sanitation, health, and food safety regulations.
* Operate dishwashing equipment safely and report any malfunctions immediately.
* Support kitchen team by keeping areas stocked, organized, and clean.
* Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries when needed.
* Uphold Sonesta’s Culture of Caring through teamwork, respect, and a positive attitude.
** Qualifications
* ** Prior dishwasher or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
* Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
* Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
