Veterinary Medicine | Veterinary Biosciences The Xu lab at the Department of Veterinary Biosciences within the College of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar with expertise in antibody discovery to join our interdisciplinary team focused on understanding antibody-antigen interactions and advancing vaccine and therapeutic design for cancer and other diseases that affect both humans and animals.
The successful candidate will be involved in the antibody discovery and characterization.
Responsibilities will include antibody isolation and functional study. The postdoc will collaborate closely with researchers in immunology and related fields, contribute to publications and grant writing, and will have the opportunity to explore independent research projects aligned with the lab’s goals. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about our research.

* Working Conditions:
** 1. This position will be based in a research laboratory environment with standard laboratory conditions.
2. Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods for data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
3. May require routine work with biological samples, including recombinant proteins and antibodies.
4. Use of specialized equipment.
5. Adherence to safety protocols for handling biological and chemical reagents.
6. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on experimental timelines.## Additional Information:

* Minimum Qualifications:
** 1. Ph.D. with hands-on experience with antibody identification and functional characterization.
2. Proven ability to carry out related experiments.
3. Strong background in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and other characterization methods.
4. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.

Qualifications:
** 1. Experience in B cell sorting, hybridoma, antibody functional analysis.
2. Prior work on antibody isolation, engineering or rational design.
3. Experience mentoring junior researchers or supervising laboratory personnel.##
