Job DescriptionAppraises real estate properties independently for dispute resolution, mortgage underwriting, acquisition/disposition, portfolio analysis, estate purposes, and other intended uses.
ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Prepare complete appraisal reports independently on complex properties, collaborating with senior staff and reviewing reports.
- Conduct appraisals, examining and evaluating commercial properties to establish market value.
- Make independent decisions and provide judgment in developing appraisals for complex properties.
- Inspect properties.
- Complete formal review responses with guidance from senior staff if requested.
- Engage directly with clients in meetings.
- Complete formal rebuttal letters.
- Maintain knowledge of current regulations, zoning laws, and appraisal standards.
- Understand all relevant software programs used in the business.
- Familiarize with necessary data sources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills, Education, and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in real estate, economics, or finance; MS or MBA in real estate preferred.
- State Certified General Appraiser License.
- 3-6 years of professional experience as a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser.
- Experience and skill in writing appraisal and review reports for complex commercial properties.
- Understanding of valuation concepts, real estate terminology, and property tax processes.
- Knowledge of Argus software.
- Strong analytical, writing, communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 annually, plus benefits, bonuses, and incentives.
Working Conditions: Normal, without disagreeable elements.
