Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: April 20, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week, rotating day/night shifts, weekdays and some weekends with rotating holidays. Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period (Saturday/Sunday for day shift, Friday/Saturday for night shift). No call required.

Highlights:

  • Cardiovascular ICU specializing in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic critical care patients including CABG, valve repair, TAVR, heart and lung transplants, VAD implantation, and ECMO
  • Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2, ensuring focused, quality patient care
  • Epic electronic medical records system
  • Will not rotate travelers more than once every 4 weeks
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
  • 36-hour orientation provided to ensure successful transition to the unit

Requirements:

  • Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
  • 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Previous travel experience preferred
  • Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, Swan Ganz monitoring, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA lines
  • Experience with ECMO, Impella, IABP, CRRT/CVVHD, cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, arterial line management, and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)

  • Former employees eligible after 6 months away from the facility; current employees ineligible for travel positions
