Job Opportunity – Progressive Care RN – Ohio

Start Date: April 20, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 24-hour orientation followed by standard shifts; weekend coverage required; may float to other units as needed

Highlights:

• Work in a surgical step-down unit specializing in post-surgical and general medicine patients
• Progressive Care nurse-to-patient ratio of 3-4:1 with goal of maintaining 3:1
• Epic EMR system utilized facility-wide
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Care for adult and geriatric populations with focus on bariatric, colorectal, and other surgical specialties
• Access to multiple parking options through facility parking services

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of application)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• IV certification required with demonstrated competency in IV starts and management
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must successfully pass telemetry competency assessment
• Experience monitoring telemetry patients strongly preferred
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Skills in insulin drip titration, blood product administration, central line care, wound care, and oxygen administration
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director
