Registered Nurse - Perianesthesia (PACU)

• Shift Type:
  Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Weekend Requirements: 1-2 weekends per 4-week schedule

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse

• Inpatient care in Phase I PACU
• Cardiac Monitoring
• Dysrhythmia recognition and management
• IV therapy and phlebotomy
• Blood product administration
• Central line care and management
• Administration of IV vasopressors, narcotics, and reversal agents
• Care of ventilated patients
• Knowledge of various types of anesthesia including:
  • Conscious Sedation
  • Post-epidural management
  • General, Local, and Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC)
  • Nerve Blocks
  • Spinal
• Familiarity with Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol
• Pain assessment and management
• PCA pump management
• Use of Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale (RASS)
