Description:
The Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse position is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a critical care setting.
The nurse will manage patients with complex medical conditions.
Estimated patient ratios are 1:1 to 1:2.
The position requires essential skills in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction.
Proficiency in IV management, including starting and maintaining IVs, is required.
The nurse will utilize a variety of advanced medical equipment and technologies, including ventilators, IABP, and CRRT.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to infection prevention and adherence to isolation precautions.
Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy, is essential.
Candidates are expected to maintain documentation and exhibit a strong understanding of patient care protocols.
This role supports patients with diagnoses such as cardiac medical ICU, cardiogenic shock, and heart failure.
Weekend coverage is required, with shifts scheduled every other weekend.
