American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Level 1 Trauma Operating Room position requiring 2 years of OR experience, Epic proficiency, and an active OH or compact RN license.
Details- Level 1 Trauma hospital OR setting with 18 beds
- Performs a wide variety of surgical cases including General, Robotic, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant
- Primary circulator role with a focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery
- Variable shift position working days and/or evenings on 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00
- On-call required Monday–Friday 21:00–06:30, and Saturday/Sunday 06:30–19:00 and 19:00–06:30
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs
- Documents patient care using Epic EMR
- 13-week contract
- Active OH or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Prior Level 1 Trauma center experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience in ENT, GU, Plastics, or Burns is preferred
- Circulate surgical cases with a focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery
- Work closely with the surgical team throughout all phases of the perioperative process
- Two professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years are required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
- All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- No break between assignments is required when changing representation for this facility (except for Sterile Processing Techs, who require a 30-day break)
