About the Position
Job Opportunity – PACU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Schedule:
Day shift, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (three 12-hour shifts) or 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM (four 9-hour shifts). No weekend coverage required. 36-hour orientation provided.
Highlights:
Provide Phase I and Phase II anesthesia recovery care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and vascular procedures
Manage both inpatient and outpatient pre-operative and post-operative care with MAC and conscious sedation
Work with a 3:1 patient ratio in a 23-bed unit with approximately 35 visits per day
Utilize Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
Adult patient population with focus on cardiovascular and vascular care
Up to two pre-approved time-off periods available (blackout dates apply February 15–28, 2026)
Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 3 years of RN experience with demonstrated 3:1 patient ratio experience
Epic charting system experience required
Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, pre/post catheterization procedures, vascular surgery care, sheath pulls, and pacemaker insertion
Experience with blood product administration, pain management, airway assessment, and emergency medications
Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
