Registered Nurse Prep​/PACU

Overview

We have full-time and part-time positions for a Staff Nurse in the Prep/PACU (Pre-Admission Testing/Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) department. The Staff Nurse will be responsible for preparing patients for surgical procedures, monitoring them during the preoperative and postoperative phases, and providing high-quality nursing care to ensure patient safety and comfort. Duties also include assessing patient conditions, administering medications, documenting patient records accurately, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

• Foundational nursing skills, including patient care, clinical assessment, and administration of medications
• Proficiency in monitoring and managing preoperative and postoperative patients
• Knowledge of safety procedures, infection control, and compliance with healthcare regulations
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and handle patient records with confidentiality
• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Previous experience in a surgical or PACU setting is preferred but not mandatory
