SummaryProvides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing, delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses and unlicensed assistive personnel according to Ohio Nurse Practice Act, and provides professional nursing care services to patients.
Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.
- Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments (30%).
- Document planned nursing interventions based on nursing diagnoses to achieve desired outcomes (30%).
- Evaluate and document response to interventions and revise plan of care as needed (20%).
- Participate in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance (10%).
- Perform additional operations responsibilities (10%).
- Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency as a High Reliability Organization.
- Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or a good standing RN license in a multi‑state compact.
- BLS certification.
- BSN required at 5 years of employment.
- Registered Nurse license from Ohio Board of Nursing.
