Responsibilities:

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The nurse functions within the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice and coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff to ensure the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: Graduate of a nursing program.
• Experience: New graduates eligible; for PRN positions, one year of hospital nursing experience preferred.
• Licensure: Current Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC multistate license; BLS certification required.
• Additional: Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced certification in specialty area if applicable.
