Scope of Position:

The staff nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement, the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost effective care.
Position Summary:
The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.
7 Brain and Spine is a 29-bed unit in the Acute Care Department. We specialize in trauma surgery. This includes patients who are admitted for acute surgical interventions due to motor vehicle accidents, falls, gunshot wounds, intra-abdominal issues, and overflow orthopedic surgery. Our unit is blended, with acute care and progressive care accommodations. 7 Brain and Spine is a wonderful place to learn and grow.
