PCU Registered Nurse – Travel Nursing Job in Columbus, Ohio (Night Shift)

Nurse Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with neurological diagnoses (epilepsy, stroke, MS, Guillain-Barre, myasthenia gravis, traumatic brain injury)
  • Monitor and manage patients with lumbar drains and external ventricular drains (EVDs)
  • Administer and titrate cardiac and insulin drips; manage central and peripheral lines; deliver neuro stepdown care
  • Perform blood product administration, phlebotomy, and IV therapy
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, physical therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services)
  • Document and chart patient care using EPIC EMR
  • Maintain strict isolation precautions and infection control protocols
  • Float to other nursing units within the OSU healthcare system as needed
PCU RN Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or Ohio state RN license required at submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in PCU, Progressive Care, or Med-Surg nursing
  • Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Certifications:

    ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (required for PCU nursing jobs)
  • Proficient with EPIC charting system
  • Previous travel nurse experience preferred
  • Ability to float to various units within the healthcare organization
  • Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions considered)
  • Two professional references (one from a manager, director, or charge RN)
