Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level 1 Trauma unit in Ohio, requiring a compact or OH RN license and strong surgical background.
Responsibilities- Work in an 18-bed Operating Room within a Level 1 Trauma hospital
- Handles a variety of surgical cases including general, robotic, laparoscopic, trauma, orthopedic, neurosurgery, spinal, ophthalmology, ENT, plastics, burns, urology, GYN, and transplant procedures
- Day and evening shifts, with mixed 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
- Call coverage required Monday through Friday from and 12-hour call shifts on weekends
- Primary circulating duties with focus on orthopedic, neurosurgery, spine, and general surgery cases
- Uses Epic for patient record documentation
- Provide direct care to patients during all phases of surgical procedures
- Collaborate closely with the surgical and perioperative care team
- Preferred candidates will have experience in ENT, GU, plastics, and burn cases
- Strict fingerprinting process must be completed promptly after contract signing
- Former employees are eligible if they have been away from the facility for at least 6 months
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- RTO must be submitted with application and built into contract
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience
- Prior experience in a Level 1 trauma center required
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience charting in Epic EMR required
- Two professional references required, at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor
