RN School Based PRN Substitute – Columbus Area

PSI is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a School Health PRN Substitute. You'll provide essential health services to students in public, private, and charter schools, serving Kindergarten through 12th Grade students. The role offers flexible scheduling with school locations near you.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and health support to students in school settings.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage basic health care needs.
• Support prevention of communicable diseases and maintain a safe, healthy school environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, school staff, and families to ensure quality care.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Current RN license through the Ohio Board of Nursing (required).
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality (required).
• Experience in school health or pediatric nursing is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of communicable disease prevention and medication administration (required).
• Current BLS/CPR and/or First Aid certification (or willing to obtain).

What We're Looking For

• Current RN license (Ohio).
• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality.
• School health or pediatric nursing experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a school-based health setting and support students throughout the day.
