TLC Nursing Associates, Inc.
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room (OR) team. The OR RN will play a critical role in supporting surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile environment, assisting surgeons, and ensuring optimal patient care before, during, and after surgery.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for surgeries, ensuring proper instruments, equipment, and supplies are available.
- Assess patient condition before surgery and verify surgical consent, allergies, and medical history.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond to changes in vital signs or condition.
- Coordinate postoperative recovery and hand-off communication to PACU staff.
- Document all aspects of care according to regulatory and hospital guidelines.
- Adhere to infection control practices, safety procedures, and OR protocols.
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams for optimal patient outcomes.
- Active and unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in an Operating Room setting.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; CNOR certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical asepsis and sterile technique.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure environments.
