Job Opportunity – Oncology PCU/Med-Surg RN – Ohio

Start Date: February 23, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, self-scheduling with requests balanced by management, variable weekend coverage based on staffing needs

Highlights:

  • Work in a comprehensive cancer center with 318 acute care beds specializing in oncology care across multiple cancer diagnoses
  • Float across specialized oncology units including BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, PCU Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, Urology, Colorectal, and Surgical Oncology
  • Staffing ratios: PCU 1:3 to 1:4 with mixed acuity;
    Med-Surg Telemetry 1:4 to 1:5
  • Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
  • 100 hours of orientation including one week of dayshift training and five bedside orientation shifts
  • Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient safety initiatives

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of high acuity PCU level or higher experience required
  • Oncology experience preferred but not required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
  • Certifications:

    ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; OCN and ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate preferred
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director
