Job Summary
Healogics – the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States – is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Wound Care Center. The LPN will provide wound‑related and basic nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Provider, following all Healogics, hospital, and federal guidelines.
Responsibilities- Provide wound‑related patient care according to Basic Life Support (BLS) and approved hospital protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in vein clinic after completion of Healogics Vein Clinic training.
- Assist with intake, discharge, and case management under the direction of an RN.
- Gather patient information and necessary equipment for the RN or provider.
- Report quality of care issues to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
- Communicate with team members regarding therapeutic interventions to ensure quality of care.
- Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties after completing required Healogics training.
- May perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing required training.
- Act as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy.
- Perform other duties as delegated.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED).
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program/state approved educational program.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice.
- Two (2) or more years’ experience as LPN/LVN, including one (1) or more years in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long‑Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) setting.
- Wound‑care experience preferred.
- Demonstrated competency in BLS (Basic Life Support).
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time‑management skills.
- Basic knowledge of regulatory and accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations.
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, oral, and written communication skills.
- Customer service and follow‑up skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
- Problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm in all situations.
- Working knowledge of computerized nursing systems.
- Stationary position for extended periods (4+ hours).
- Viewing computer screen for extended periods (4+ hours).
- Frequent computer keying (4+ hours).
- Moving about, reading, communicating, writing, color perception, vision tasks.
- Lifting/moving items up to 20 pounds; up to 75 pounds with equipment assistance.
- Pushing or pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, touching with hands.
- Normal office and primarily indoor patient‑care environment.
- Exposure to hazards such as blood‑borne pathogens, toxic chemicals, flammable gases, mechanical equipment, and moving objects.
Hourly Rate: $23.30–$30.69 per hour (estimate based on qualifications, experience, geography, and operational needs).
