Mount Carmel East Mother Infant, recently designated Baby‑Friendly Hospital, offers a 33 private bed unit. The unit includes a well‑baby nursery, licensed lactation consultants, and full medical staff coverage. Patients receive 24‑hour rooming, breastfeeding support, and best‑practice nursing care.

Mount Carmel East features a fully integrated cardiovascular center, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, a dedicated Women’s Health Center, a maternity center, a Network Cancer Program, and a comprehensive orthopedics and spine program. It also houses a Level II Trauma Center. The 400‑bed facility was modernized with a new patient tower, surgical suite, cafeteria, parking, and outdoor spaces.

The Registered Nurse (RN), within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in a patient‑centered environment addressing physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. The staff RN is accountable for care delivery using the nursing process within Mount Carmel Health System standards.

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing evidence‑based practice.
• Assist the provider with patient assessment, examinations, and treatments; perform basic medical procedures under provider supervision.
• Administer medications under provider direction, following policy and guidelines.
• Assist in emergency situations under provider direction.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and disease processes.
• Document accurately and completely assessments, interventions, and outcomes per documentation standards.
• Account for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed caregivers.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation and supervision.
• Basic computer skills and preferred EMR experience.
