Job Description & How to Apply Below
The Hardy Center is a community-based nonprofit organization serving children and families in the Linden neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. The organization's mission is to develop well-rounded, resilient young leaders by addressing the academic, social-emotional, and basic needs that directly affect health, stability, and long-term success. The Hardy Center operates year-round after-school and summer programs that combine academic enrichment, structured enrichment activities, and access to healthy meals.
Programming is designed to reduce barriers created by poverty and food insecurity by ensuring children have consistent academic support, safe environments, and opportunities to build life skills. A core component of the organization's work is nutrition education and food access support, including hands-on garden-based learning that teaches children where food comes from and how nutrition affects physical health, learning, and overall well-being.
