Board Member Position-Corporate Sponsorship Lead

Overview

Our mission is to create positive impact for animals in Ohio! We do this through a variety of programs and initiatives, including our annual Tackle Pet Hunger community pet food drive, education and outreach events, and our grant program, which invests in Ohio nonprofit organizations working to improve the lives of animals in our state. Through these programs we have been able to reach countless people in Ohio with our message of responsible pet ownership and appreciation for all animals.

Our Tackle Pet Hunger has distributed over 48,000 pounds of cat and dog food to organizations dedicated to keeping pets in their homes and out of the shelter. Through our grant program, we have invested over $9,000 in life-changing initiatives in the areas of low cost spay/neuter, feral cat programs, rescue and shelter services and wildlife protection. Our monthly outreach newsletter--Ohio Animal Connection--offers insights and action items to encourage individuals to be advocates for animals in their daily life.

Ohio Animal Foundation is seeking an outgoing and energetic individual to serve on our Board of Directors as our Corporate Sponsorship Lead. In addition to regular board service and participation, this person will work with the Executive Director/Board to grow our corporate sponsorship revenue throughout the year.

• Identifying new corporate sponsorship prospects
• Developing relationships with potential corporate sponsors
• Asking for corporate sponsorship support
• Maintaining relationships with existing corporate sponsors throughout the year
• Duties and Responsibilities required of serving on the OAF Board of Directors

• Previous sponsorship experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be very detail-oriented and organized.
• Excellent people skills and outgoing personality.
• Familiarity with email programs and other methods of communication.
• Board application will be required.
