Overview
Franklinton Rising is seeking a faith-filled, visionary President to lead our Christ-centered nonprofit into its next season of growth and impact. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader who is passionate about discipleship, workforce development, community revitalization, and sustainable growth.
Franklinton Rising exists to break cycles of economic and spiritual poverty by equipping young adults with life skills, basic construction skills, and a biblical world view while revitalizing neighborhoods through building affordable housing and community development. Our work blends faith, vocational training and placement, with community transformation to create lasting change.
The President serves as the organization’s chief executive and spiritual leader, responsible for advancing the mission, vision, and long-term sustainability of Franklinton Rising. This role oversees strategy, fundraising, operations, partnerships, and staff leadership while serving as the primary ambassador to donors, community partners, churches, and industry leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Christ-centered leadership, modeling a life of faith, integrity, and servant leadership.
- Articulate and advance the organization’s vision, mission, and strategic priorities.
- Lead organizational operations, staff development, and program execution.
- Serve as the primary fundraiser, cultivating donors, grants, corporate partnerships, and new revenue opportunities.
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and stewardship of resources.
- Represent Franklinton Rising publicly through presentations, partnerships, and community engagement.
- Build and leverage relationships within:
- construction and housing industries
- local government and economic development entities
- faith-based and community organizations
- Work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure strong governance and accountability.
- Strengthen marketing, storytelling, and use of technology to expand impact and visibility.
- The ideal candidate will:
- Be a follower of Jesus Christ with a clear testimony and passion for sharing biblical truth.
- Enjoy teaching Scripture and integrating faith into leadership, mentoring, and daily work.
- Have a heart for discipleship, helping people grow spiritually, personally, and professionally.
- Bring a strong business and entrepreneurial mindset, with experience in strategic planning and organizational growth.
- Possess 10+ years of leadership experience, ideally in nonprofit, ministry, or mission-driven organizations.
- Demonstrate success in fundraising and financial management.
- Be a strong communicator and marketer who enjoys presenting ideas and building support.
- Be highly organized and comfortable leveraging technology for efficiency and growth.
- Have knowledge of and connections within the construction, building, or housing industry.
- Maintain or cultivate relationships with local government and community leaders that can open funding and partnership opportunities.
