, the company operates out of the Andelyn Corporate Center (ACC) for clinical and commercial cGMP manufacturing of viral vectors and plasmids and the Andelyn Development Center (ADC) for preclinical non-cGMP activities.

The name “Andelyn” is a hybrid of two gene therapy patients who participated in pivotal Phase I clinical trials at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Andrew received the first U.S. investigational gene therapy for Duchenne muscular dystrophy in 2006. Evelyn received experimental gene therapy for spinal muscular atrophy in 2015. “Andelyn” combines their names to represent all the families who have courageously participated in the research that makes today’s gene therapies possible.

The Production Planner is responsible for developing the production schedule and timelines based on short/long term demand for the Good Manufacturing Practice production facility. This position will play a key role in building processes and procedures to optimize the MRP system, capacity analysis, and inventory planning to support current needs and future growth. This position will require extensive experience in materials/capacity planning, materials management, inventory control, the flow of goods and services, supply & quality agreements/contracts, and logistics.

Additional ERP experience required (SAP highly preferred), as well as regulatory knowledge and adherence.

• Utilize ERP system to review, analyze, and react to the Material Requirements Plan to ensure a continuity of supply to support finished good production plans
• Facilitate weekly material shortage, job board, and production scheduling meetings ensuring alignment between functional areas
• Ensure production schedules are capacity feasible based on predefined resources
• Collaborate upstream with the Business Team and downstream with production to ensure customer requirements are met
• Expedite and de-expedite material orders ensuring alignment with customer/production requirements
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to established policies and targets
• Oversee KPIs and generation of supporting reports
• Support and improve the functionality of the ERP system through the maintenance of master data to ensure accuracy
• Provide support to other Production Planning roles
• Troubleshoot and identify solutions to any unforeseen impact to the production timelines
• Support the implementation of new technology and materials as it relates to production capacity and timelines
• Support the identification and implementation of alternate suppliers for critical materials
• Interact with suppliers to identify opportunities for improvement to support future growth
• Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements for cellular and gene therapy products
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity through exercising discretion, judgment, and personal responsibility while maintaining a positive attitude
