Overview
Our client, a leading organization in the food production industry, is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to join their team. As a Shipping Supervisor, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the Shipping and Receiving team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Shipping Supervisor
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000
- Oversee daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of the Shipping and Receiving team to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure proper documentation for receipt and shipment processes.
- Coordinate safety training and promote a safe work environment through education and observation.
- Manage raw material and finished goods inventory, ensuring FIFO and COA compliance.
- Conduct documentation audits and oversee off-site inventory levels for accuracy and proper rotation.
- AA / AS Degree or 5 years of experience in shipping and receiving management.
- Experience with Food Production, Food Safety, HACCP, and related training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MRP, SAP, or other inventory and order processing systems.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in various environmental conditions including hot, cold, noisy, and odorous environments.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
