The Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and developing production schedules to meet customer demands. Develops production schedules in accordance with sales forecast, plant and employee capacity, and new business opportunities. Occasional assistance in short term forecasting and supports customer service during customer escalations.
Principle Responsibilities- Schedules the production of parts and assemblies for all Focus Factories
- Monitors material inventory levels, tracks progress of production, and reviews factors that affect schedule
- Makes necessary modifications to schedule
- Communicates to the appropriate department when revisions are made to the schedule
- Enhances internal processes surrounding level scheduling
- First contact to support OMS team with customer escalations
- Supports enhancement of scheduling tool(s) as opportunities arise
- Ensures scheduling tool(s) standard work is followed
- Creates work orders in alignment with schedule
- Conduit between Operations and OMS team
- Driven to promote the success of the organization and production staff
- Capable of leading cross functional teams to schedule alignment
- Can satisfactorily answer customer concerns around demand
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Proficiency with computers, Excel, and MRP system (JD Edwards preferred)
- Ability to create and understand reports to make production decisions
- Associate degree or two years of experience scheduling a production area
- Three years’ experience in production environment
