Consultant, Business Consulting; NF Shared Portfolio Communications

The Consultant, Business Consulting role will lead communication needs for assigned projects across the NF Shared Portfolio. This role will be focused on driving execution of communication strategies, while creating and managing communication tactics in support of business outcomes. Individuals should possess an ability to tell stories across large, complex projects with multiple audiences; ultimately driving alignment and helping teams adopt change effectively.

• Create, develop, and execute effective communication strategies and tactics in support of business needs and project outcomes to support change management
• Ensures and leads the communication to and incorporation of feedback from customers on proposed, developing, and completed projects and initiatives
• Drives alignment and coordination by acting as a liaison between project and business team and communicates status to multiple stakeholders
• Measure effectiveness of communication efforts against project objectives and deliverables
• Navigates ambiguity and builds impactful communication plans for all projects and pivotal initiatives
• Focuses on driving alignment, promoting project awareness, successful achievement of capability adoption, and generating overall support for portfolio activities
• May perform other responsibilities as assigned

Individuals should possess a firm understanding of current NF business processes, display strong written and verbal communication skills, quickly exercise relationship building skills, possess familiarity with standard project management practice, and be comfortable juggling multiple, competing priorities simultaneously. Individuals should be naturally curious and thrive in ambiguity while executing project communication needs to help teams adopt change effectively. Individuals should possess proven leadership skills with the ability to collaborate, remove roadblocks, and act as a primary liaison between project members and business to ensure collaboration and consistency across.

The ideal candidate is forward thinking and drives the need for continuous improvements of communication strategies and tactics across each project and the portfolio. Additional skillsets would include planning skills, decision-making skills, time management skills along with the ability to motivate others, work in a collaborative environment, and recognize achievements while driving results.

Individuals should demonstrate organizational savvy and a storytelling ability to engage and get alignment from a wide range of audiences along with the ability to create an engaging environment where the team feels valued, appreciated, in a safe space and encouraged to do their best work every day.

Reports to Director. This is an individual contributor role and does not have direct reports; may have opportunity to lead projects or teams.

Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information, business, mathematics or related field desired. Graduate studies are preferred.

Eight plus years of dynamic experience in planning, designing and implementing company-wide business transformation initiatives. Extensive experience in functional, process, information and data modeling, data management and warehousing and applications integration. In-depth experience with process redesign methods and tools. Three years of experience in project management is preferred.
