We are partnering with a growing real estate organization in the Worthington area to identify a Vice President of Finance & Accounting. This executive will serve as a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO, and will oversee all financial and accounting operations across construction, property management, and development business lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic financial leadership across all business units including development, construction, and property management
  • Oversee full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Lead and develop accounting and finance teams across multiple functions, ensuring strong internal controls and scalable processes
  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to drive business strategy, capital allocation, and long-term growth initiatives
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and financial performance across a diverse real estate portfolio
  • Oversee development and construction accounting, including project costing, job profitability, and capital tracking
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal stakeholders, lenders, and investors
  • Lead lender relationships, financing activities, and support capital raise efforts as needed
  • Implement and optimize systems, processes, and reporting tools to support continued growth
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with leadership experience in real estate or related industries
  • Strong experience across development, construction, and/or property management accounting
  • Proven ability to operate as a strategic partner to executive leadership
  • Deep understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Experience managing multiple entities, projects, and complex ownership structures
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
