We are partnering with a growing real estate organization in the Worthington area to identify a Vice President of Finance & Accounting. This executive will serve as a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO, and will oversee all financial and accounting operations across construction, property management, and development business lines.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic financial leadership across all business units including development, construction, and property management
- Oversee full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Lead and develop accounting and finance teams across multiple functions, ensuring strong internal controls and scalable processes
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to drive business strategy, capital allocation, and long-term growth initiatives
- Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and financial performance across a diverse real estate portfolio
- Oversee development and construction accounting, including project costing, job profitability, and capital tracking
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal stakeholders, lenders, and investors
- Lead lender relationships, financing activities, and support capital raise efforts as needed
- Implement and optimize systems, processes, and reporting tools to support continued growth
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with leadership experience in real estate or related industries
- Strong experience across development, construction, and/or property management accounting
- Proven ability to operate as a strategic partner to executive leadership
- Deep understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Experience managing multiple entities, projects, and complex ownership structures
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
