The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and improvement of 13 distinct locations throughout Ohio and Indiana. This individual ensures that all facilities are safe, efficient, and compliant with applicable regulations, while providing a high standard of service and support to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Facility Operations:
Manage daily facility operations for 13 sites, including scheduling maintenance, repairs, and vendor relations. - Maintenance Management:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, and infrastructure. - Budgeting & Cost Control:
Prepare and manage annual budgets for each location, monitor expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities. - Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all facilities comply with state and federal regulations, including health, safety, and environmental standards. - Vendor Management:
Select, negotiate, and oversee contracts with vendors and service providers; evaluate performance and ensure quality standards. - Project Management:
Lead facility improvement projects, renovations, relocations and expansions; coordinate with contractors, architects, and internal teams. - Emergency Response:
Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans for each site; serve as point of contact for facility-related emergencies. - Asset Management:
Maintain accurate records of facility assets, conduct routine inspections, and ensure timely repairs and replacements. - Customer Service:
Address facility-related concerns from employees.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-site facilities management, preferably within Ohio and Indiana.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience managing budgets and negotiating vendor contracts.
- Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly between locations.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent travel between facilities in Ohio and Indiana.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations outside normal business hours.
- Occasional lifting, climbing, and extended periods of walking or standing may be required.
