Manager, Residential Revitalization
The Manager of Residential Revitalization is responsible for programmatic and staff management for the Community Housing Impact and Preservation (CHIP) and the Housing Assistance Grant Programs (HAGP) in the Office of Community Enhancement (OCE) at the Department of Development. This is an in-office position that is responsible for field staff working remotely across the state.
Through the CHIP Program, eligible communities can undertake a variety of housing-related activities. Through a flexible, community-wide approach, communities improve and provide affordable housing for low- and moderate-income persons and strengthen neighborhoods through community collaboration.
The goal of the HAGP program is to promote affordable housing opportunities and improve housing conditions for families and individuals at or below 50% of Area Median Income, primarily through emergency home repair and limited down payment assistance.
What you’ll be doing- Oversees the Residential Revitalization section daily operations, supervises remote team members, coordinates workload and assignments, evaluates performance, and establishes program goals and objectives.
- Coordinates annual grant administration for communities and nonprofits statewide, including review, agreement issuance, monitoring, and closeout.
- Provides accurate, timely customer service and guidance to internal and external stakeholders; escalates sensitive issues as needed.
- Analyzes information, maintains current program knowledge, and identifies effective solutions.
- Monitors federal legislation and develops or updates programs to align with state priorities.
- Represents the department at meetings and presentations; serves as liaison to internal divisions and external partners.

Minimum Qualifications- Extensive federal housing experience required (HUD programs preferred).
- CHIP and HAGP program knowledge required.
- 5+ years previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Excellent oral, written communications, and leadership skills.
This position requires you to work in the office, Monday-Friday. The job is located in the Vern Riffe building, 77 South High St. Columbus, OH 43215
