Job Description

The Community Program Development Manager duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Work to improve all bureau directed grant programming by working in partnership with juvenile courts to strategically identify, develop, and implement evidence-based/evidence informed activities that make a positive quantifiable impact on youth involvement and the statewide reduction of unnecessary/inappropriate out-of-home placements/residential incarceration
  • Research and analyze program effectiveness to established program adherences and research-supported guidelines and maintain performance and outcome expectations established by DYS
  • Oversee the development and enhancement of processes for the gathering, verifying, analyzing and reporting of program performance data submitted by the juvenile courts to internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide reports of program performance to identify trends and areas of needed program enhancements for juvenile court programming
  • Provide Community Program Monitors relevant data related to juvenile court’s performance to assist in the monitoring process
  • Assist in identifying and communicating to internal and external clients available evidence based, best practice or emerging practice programming and training by maintaining and enhancing the DYS Subsidy Grant resource page
  • Recommend Subsidy Grant/RECLAIM Ohio revisions to ORC/OAC as necessary to advance and promote research supported practices
