Accounting Director

We are looking for an Accounting Director to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

• Lead and manage the corporate accounting function, overseeing financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closing processes.
• Provide technical accounting guidance, ensuring compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards, and staying up-to-date with the latest industry changes.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies, driving business growth and operational efficiency.
• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and alignment with internal and external requirements.
• Supervise a team of accounting professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development.
• Manage internal controls and SOX compliance, ensuring all accounting practices are up to standard.
• Act as a liaison between external auditors and the company, ensuring a smooth and effective audit process.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting department and lead initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in public accounting (Big 4 or similar).
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and technical accounting.
• Proven experience in financial statement preparation, budget forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop teams effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with senior management and external stakeholders.
