Specialty Rx is seeking a Pharmacy Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Maintenance Technician, you will be a key part of our Pharmacy Service team. With a general knowledge of mechanics and computers, a positive attitude, and a desire to solve problems, you will aid the Pharmacy leadership team in running consistent and efficient production shifts as well as assisting in smooth onboarding processes for new business within our company.

Responsibilities
  • General facility repair including installations and alterations of facility machinery, components, and systems assigned by supervisor, including but not limited to medication packaging machines, automated prescription packaging machinery, delivery of ADS machines, maintenance of medication carts/treatment carts/crash carts and all related accessories, shelving, and general warehouse equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines, including OSHA standards within the entire building and while on the road.
  • Minimize equipment downtime by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment; analyze and determine the most efficient routes for service repairs at facilities and for delivery and pickup of equipment.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and electronic records within the department, including spreadsheets regarding scheduling and phone applications that track service calls and inventory.
  • Responsible for making service calls within OH, PA, KY and potentially other surrounding states when needed.
  • Troubleshoot frequent production occurrences to maintain workflow across departments; examples include warehouse setup, maintaining organization of supplies, repairing machines used to seal medication cards, printer troubleshooting, and minor plumbing/electrical/building repairs.
  • Ensure that all parts, equipment, supplies, usage, and issues are logged appropriately and promptly within designated systems.
  • Cleaning and removal of refuse from the facility when needed.
  • Load/Unload truck deliveries and deliver contents to respective departments, organizing contents into the warehouse; assist in transportation of equipment to and from long-term care facilities, suppliers, and additional pharmacy locations as needed.
  • Recognize, address, and escalate system issues to management and vendors when necessary.
  • Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment, including immediate correction or reporting of safety issues to leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous pharmacy experience is a plus. Previous maintenance or warehouse experience is required.
  • At least one year of experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift 70-100 lbs.
  • Ability to push up to 600 pounds with support.
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation required.
  • Willingness to travel within Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and other surrounding areas.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic technology skills.
