Building Maintenance, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer
Description
This position will be located at Huntington Gateway Center, Columbus, Ohio. Some travel to our Easton Facility may be required.
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Huntington Bank property, including grounds and physical facilities. Responsibilities include all aspects of maintenance, construction, remodeling, and large project assistance. Partner with internal colleagues including projects on Real Estate, Marketing, Security, etc. Provide management, oversight/liaison for vendors and contractors. Excellent communication skills, computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of building fire system operations, emergency generator systems and HVAC required.
WorkSchedule
Monday through Friday from 7:00AM to 4:00PM or as otherwise directed by their Regional Facility Manager. On call 24/7 Emergency responder and overtime is mandatory based on business need.
Primary focus is to self-perform 40-60% of maintenance work. Responsibilities include project planning, budgeting and all aspects of maintenance, construction, relocation, and remodeling.
Responsibilities- Provides oversight/liaison for vendors and contractors.
- Communicates with internal colleagues/customers/natural owners.
- Computer proficiency, general maintenance skills, and HVAC knowledge required.
- Facilities Management work order system proficiency.
- Participate in staff and departmental meetings.
- Complete required in-person & online training sessions.
- Complete annual site assessments and record in Facility Management work order software program.
- Provide support to Regional Facilities Administrator & Regional Facility Manager.
- Primary focus will be to self-perform 40-60% of non-contracted services.
- Event Support (Meetings, Ceremonies, Gatherings).
- Interim HVAC filter changes.
- Lighting repairs.
- Plumbing repairs.
- Electrical repairs.
- Exterior repairs.
- Interior repairs.
- Non-specific task.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3 or more years Facilities Management experience to include basic preventative maintenance, minor repairs involving plumbing, heating/cooling, basic electrical repairs, furniture moves, and the coordination and scheduling of maintenance with various vendors.
- Prior experience working within and maintaining a budget for facility repairs & vendor proposal reviews.
- Trade Certifications preferred.
- Computer Proficiency to include MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with Facilities Management software.
- Knowledge and skills related to building Maintenance incl. HVAC, Building Fire Systems, and Emergency Generator Systems.
- Ability to lift loads of up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good project management skills including budgeting and documentation.

Oversight/Liaison for designated vendors and/or projects, reviews the work of others for quality assurance and scope of work compliance. - Quality Assurance:
Adheres to bank policies and procedures and complies with legal and regulatory requirements. Follows, or in some cases establishes, as required, effective controls and processes to ensure risks are measured, monitored and controlled and compliance requirements are adhered to on an ongoing basis. Keep abreast of risk-related changes that may impact assigned work functions and processes. - Qualified individual must be self-motivated requiring minimal supervision and possess a desire to promote "Best in Class" service through their actions.
