In accordance with Article 40 (Transfers) of the Negotiated Agreement, please be advised that the following position is now open for qualified candidates:
Big Walnut is currently seeking qualified candidates for a full-time district substitute custodian position. The assignment will be as a daily substitute at all buildings in the district. The building and shift will be assigned as needed, with consideration to weekly shift schedule when possible.
This individual must have demonstrated a positive rapport with students and staff. The qualified candidate must also show enthusiasm for custodial work, and assume responsibility with minimal direct supervision.
DescriptionIncluding meeting at least the minimum abilities of the Board adopted job description, it is preferred that the ideal candidate has a working knowledge and licensure or certification in the following areas: plumbing, alarm systems, lock sets, computer use, etc. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
QualificationsMust have current clear BCI/FBI background checks, dated within one year of employment. Candidates will be interviewed to evaluate relative job skills and ability, pertinent job experience, reliability, ability to follow instructions, desire to work in a team environment, job performance (past and present), attendance, and evaluations. The candidate will also need the ability to lift at least 50 pounds to load and unload trucks.
Also included in the qualifications and performance will be the responsibilities listed in the Board adopted Job Description for this position.
