Director of Maintenance - Laurels of Gahanna

The Laurels of Gahanna, a Ciena Healthcare facility, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Director. This 112‑bed, state‑of‑the‑art nursing facility offers long‑term and rehabilitative care, where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and compliant environment for our residents and staff.

• Maintain the physical plant and essential mechanical, electrical, and SNF resident care equipment in safe operating condition.
• Maintain all essential mechanical, electrical and patient care equipment in safe operating condition.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge and analytic ability to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions. Coordinate and oversee activities of outside contractors and trades‑people in construction, repair and maintenance of the physical plant and equipment.
• Manage departmental budget, ordering supplies, and tracking inventory.
• Have current knowledge of state and federal laws, codes and regulations that apply to maintenance services and records of long‑term care. Assure compliance with regulations as they relate to the maintenance department and life safety code.
• May supervise housekeeping and laundry departments.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years physical plant and equipment experience in an institutional environment with supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Certification in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical preferred.
