About

The Role

The Sr. Facility Maintenance & Utility Technician manages the upkeep and compliance of the overall facility. This role is responsible for the overall maintenance compliance of utility and facility infrastructure and ensures that robust maintenance plans and contracts are in place and executed for utility and facility systems.

Responsibilities
  • Assess facility and utility infrastructure for compliance, maintenance needs, and continuous improvements.
  • Support and maintain GMP‑Compliant maintenance plans and schedules for utility and facility infrastructure, supporting updates to SOPs, PMs, and maintenance procedures.
  • Perform site walk downs and documents for overall utility and facility conditions.
  • Conduct planned and corrective maintenance on building infrastructure while ensuring compliance with Quality and EHSS requirements.
  • Manage contractor services on externally performed equipment preventative and corrective maintenance, including scheduling, on‑site supervision, and providing training that ensures all applicable documentation is in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Interface with various departments to complete facility and utility repairs, including Manufacturing, Quality Control, Process Development, Facilities and other departments to coordinate repairs and minimize downtime. Works with departments on hand‑over of equipment after maintenance and ensures its performance during re‑start.
  • Develop and update Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Work Instructions (WIs), and Work Plan Templates (WPTs) for maintenance procedures.
  • Review externally performed maintenance and ensures maintenance documentation is accurately recorded in the Maintenance CMMS system (Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager (BMRAM), while adhering to Good Documentation Practices.
  • Support the spare parts program by identifying critical spare parts for utility and facility infrastructure.
  • Support monitoring of the Building Automation System and Building Monitoring System.
  • Perform gas cylinder change‑outs for GMP Manufacturing and Laboratory / Development areas.
  • General site facility maintenance and inspections:
    • Floor cleaning, roof inspections, and fire extinguisher checks.
    • Conduct wall repairs, painting, condensate drain verification, and other building hardware maintenance.
    • Support office furniture moves and coordination.
    • Oversee roof maintenance, including cleaning drains and coordinating repairs with roofing contractors.
