Job Description:

The Test Technician is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing battery chargers, inverters, regulators at pretest and final test.

• Testing, troubleshooting, and repair of uninterruptible power systems equipment such as inverters, rectifiers, chargers, static switches, AC regulators, and associated equipment.
• Interface with customers for factory acceptance testing as required.
• Recommend Test Procedure changes.
• Provide Technical support to customers over the phone.
• Any additional tasks as deemed necessary.

• Possess electrical and mechanical aptitude and basic skills on soldering and assembling of electro/mechanical devices.
• Must be proficient in the use of multi-meters and other basic instruments as well as demonstrate proficiency in the use of oscilloscopes and be comfortable with minor mechanical rework.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, schematics and parts lists.
• Must be computer literate (MS Word, Excel) and possess strong verbal and written communication skills, strong customer service skills and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work alone and manage time with little supervision.
• Possess strong AC/DC power electronics and applications skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proven troubleshooting skills, ability to multitask and manage complex project, ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Work with voltages as high as 1000
  
  VAC and 400
  
  VDC.

Two Year Degree in Electronics or Military equivalent experience. Must have a technology background that includes at least 5 years experience in power electronics and a versatile hands‑on individual with good analytical skills.

Experience with power in the ranges of: 480 to 600

VAC with currents over 1,000A preferred.

This position is located in Columbus, Ohio
