Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:00pm - 9:00pm
FLSA:
Nonexempt
The custodial supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining premises of a behavioral healthcare hospital.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Act as point of contact for customer and ensure that all requests are addressed promptly.
- Maintain regular communication with customer and manager to keep all parties informed on site updates, progress, issues or concerns.
- Schedule staff and assure adequate coverage for site duties
- Follow the daily job routine in the order it is outlined.
- Use the correct step by step procedure for each cleaning task.
- Follow manufacturer's recommendations for use of all cleaning solutions and equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures when operating equipment.
- Assigns tasks to workers and inspects completed work for conformance to standards.
- Maintain, order and issue supplies and equipment including inventory of needed supplies.
- Maintain all equipment, supplies, or supply rooms in and orderly fashion.
- Resolves workers' problems or refers matters to Manager.
- Submits requests for repair of equipment to Manager.
- Assist in performing duties of workers supervised.
- Ensure a level of cleanliness which meets the quality expectations of the customer.
- Always interact with fellow employees and public caretaker in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Contributes information for employees' annual reviews as requested.
- Performs and completes payroll as required
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two years related experience and/or training preferred. Some lawncare and floor care experience is strongly preferred.
- Must have a driver's license with no more than 4 points.
- Must have current driving insurance in compliance with Ohio law.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by site.
- Must receive TB test upon hire and receive annual flu vaccine.
- Must have strong communication skills to coordinate customer needs and expectations and supervise staff.
