Job DescriptionWe are representing a prestigious law firm seeking a mid‑to‑senior level Private Equity Attorney to join its Columbus office. In this role, you will work with middle‑market private equity funds, independent sponsors, family offices, and family‑owned businesses in leveraged buyouts and sell‑side M&A transactions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain significant hands‑on experience while working in a collaborative and dynamic environment, with the resources of an Am Law 200 firm.
Responsibilities- Serve as the responsible attorney on M&A transactions, particularly in private equity deals.
- Gain opportunities for advancement while working in a small office environment with the resources of a larger firm.
- Receive training and take on increasing levels of responsibility as you progress.
- Participate in business development activities and collaborate across practice groups and offices.
- Work closely with clients and manage relationships, offering tailored legal solutions in private equity transactions.
- At least 3 years of experience working with private equity transactions, preferably in leveraged buyouts and M&A.
- Licensed to practice law in the U.S. since 2021 or earlier.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
- Excellent law school and undergraduate credentials, along with strong references.
- A team‑oriented mentality and a keen interest in working in a collaborative environment.
- Business acumen and a strong interest in developing relationship‑building skills both internally and externally.
- A motivated self‑starter with the flexibility to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
